I’m a stay-home mom and the owner of a transcription business called
Intentional Reach. My business specializes in sermon transcription, but we also transcribe podcasts, conferences, interviews, webinars, and such.
Back in 2006, I became a single mom unexpectedly. At the time, I had four young children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old and literally no job experience.
Faced with the reality of having to provide for my children financially on my own, I felt hopeless, frustrated, and quite frankly, terrified.
I’d been a stay-home mom from the moment my first child was born. I had no degree, no car, and no references, so getting a job that could clothe my family, put food on our plates, and keep a roof over our heads? Well, that felt impossible.
